As we prepare for the season to officially kick off on Friday night, we take a deeper look into some of the preseason notes about teams and players in the CSRA.

PRESEASON ALL-STATE SELECTIONS

Preseason AAAAA preseason all-state team

P – Jacob Rizner, Evans, Sr.

Class AAA preseason All-State team

OL – Michael Selby, Washington County, SR
ATH/QB – William Walker, Washington County, SR
LB – Cameron Garnett, Thomson, SR
DB – William Bussey, Thomson, SR
P – J.W. May, Washington County, SR

Class AA preseason all-state team

RB – George Myers, Laney, Sr.

Class A preseason all-state team

RB – Brendan Douglas, Aquinas, Sr.
LB – Dayshawn Taylor, Lincoln County, Sr.

LINCOLN COUNTY NAMED TOP DYNASTY IN GA

Lincoln County was recently named the top high school football dynasty in Georgia over the last 35 years. LC has won 448 games since 1974, only losing 71 times and tying twice. The separation between LC and Valdosta, the team oftentimes thought of as the king of Georgia football, is huge. Click the link and see.
