National team wins the 2012 CSRA Senior Bowl

Screven County quarterback Aikeem Mingle was the offensive Most Outstanding Player in the 2012 CSRA Senior Bowl.
The 2012 CSRA Senior Bowl was full of big plays from the top prospects in Georgia on Saturday afternoon at Augusta Christian School. Fueled by an explosive passing game the National team prevailed 36-19.
Screven County quarterback Aikeem Mingle threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns on 12 of 17 passing. He connected with Terry Latimore of Jefferson County High School five times for 122 yards and a score. Dequan Daniels of Statesboro High School had three catches for 108 yards.
Jukilo Johnson of Washington County was the leading rusher of the game on just six carries for 29 yards while Maurice Jefferson had 18 yards on the ground.
For the American team, Washington County quarterback William Walker was 12 of 30 for 198 yards and a score. Washington-Wilkes quarterback Buck Robinson was four of 14 for 50 yards.
The game was actually highlighted by a number of big defensive plays for both teams. The first score of the game came from Washington County High School’s Tadavis Henderson, who blocked a punt and recovered the ball in the end zone for a touchdown. After the kickoff, Henderson was in the backfield again, sacking Maines.
Christopher Washington led all players with 12 tackles while Jamario Tompkins of Greenbrier had seven tackles.
